Saturday, May 18

At 2:32 a.m., Clayton County deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 18 near 145th Street. Deputies arrested William Ledesma, 27, of McGregor, and transported him to the Clayton County Jail where he was charged with operating while intoxicated, first offense.

At 4:19 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a person threatening a property owner with a shotgun on Horseshoe Road. Deputies Greg Johnson, 60, determined that Johnson was carrying a pellet gun and was making threats over a dispute. He was arrested and transported to the Clayton County Jail where he was charged with assault and trespassing. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Strawberry Point Police Department, the Guttenberg Police Department and the Iowa State Patrol.

At 5:45 p.m, deputies responded to a disturbance at 16252 King Road. Deputies arrested Brian Cherrier, 40, of McGregor and transported him to the Clayton County Jail where he was charged with domestic abuse assault- impeding flow of air/blood. Cherrier was held pending an initial appearance in court.

At 8:23 p.m., deputies responded to Casino Queen for a report of an unruly patron. When Deputies arrived the subject was attempting to leave in a motor vehicle. Deputies arrested Jennifer Schumann, 37, of La Crosse, Wisconsin. During the arrest, Schumann became combative. She was transported to the Clayton County Jail where she was charged with operating while intoxicated, first offense and interference with official acts.

Monday, May 20

At 3:15 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 52 in Guttenberg and arrested Roger Halverson, 54, of Farmersburg. He was arrested and transported to the Clayton County Jail where he was charged with driving while barred and driving while suspended.

Tuesday, May 21

At 1:20 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on High Street in Elkader and arrested Donald Reierson Jr., 45, of Elgin and transported him to the Clayton County Jail where he was charged with driving while barred, operating without registration, no valid license, and no insurance.

Wednesday, May 22

Deputies arrested 32 year old Jacqueline Lietz, 32, of Colesburg on a Clayton County warrant for fifth-degree theft. Lietz posted a $50 cash bond and will appear in court at a later date.

Thursday, May 23

At 6:18 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Colesburg Road near 372nd Street and arrested Megan Kubatzke, 24, of Burlington, and transported her to the Clayton County Jail where she was charged with driving while suspended and speeding.

Sunday, May 26

At 10:23 a.m., deputies responded to a vehicle in the ditch on Highway 128 near Granite Ave. Deputies arrested Kimberly Gamm, 59, of Aurora, and transported her to the Clayton County Jail where she was charged with operating while intoxicated, first offense; carrying weapons while intoxicated, possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Monday, May 27

Deputies arrested Thomas Cummings, 32, of Cedar Rapids on a Clayton County warrant for probation violation. Cummings was transported to the Clayton County Jail where he is being held without bond.

Wednesday, May 29

At 3:11 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 128 near Iris Ave. Deputies arrested William Hallock, 30, of Volga. Deputies determined that Hallock’s driver’s license was revoked for OWI test failure. Hallock was arrested and transported to the Clayton County Jail where he was charged with driving while revoked.

Thursday, May 30

At 6:08 a.m., deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Highway 13 and Northeast High Street. Deputies determined that a 2001 Ford Ranger operated by Lonnie Davis of Elkader was stopped at a stop sign on High Street when a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder operated by Travis Kruger of Strawberry Point turned onto High Street striking Davis’ vehicle. Kruger was charged with failure to maintain control. No injuries were reported. Both vehicles received minor damage.
