Felony case results

State of Iowa v. Jason Kyle DeVries, 41, of Clinton, pleaded guilty as part of a deal with prosecutors to forgery. Three other counts were dismissed. He was sentenced to five years in prison with credit for time served and received a suspended fine of $750 fine plus surcharges. He also must pay restitution.

State of Iowa v. Lindsay Marie Schmidt, 28, of Westgate. Schmidt is charged with second-degree theft and forgery, class D felonies. She is accused of forging 23 checks from a family member’s account between Aug. 24 and Jan. 31, for a total of $4,218.20.

State of Iowa v. Anthony Christian Nelson III, 21, of Oelwein. Nelson is charged with enticing a minor under 13 for sexual abuse or exploitation and two counts of indecent contact with a child.

State of Iowa v. Gary Joseph McNamara, 22 , of Oelwein. McNamara is charged with distribution of marijuana to a person under age 18, a class B felony.

State of Iowa v. Johnathan Allan Marmann, 25, of Fayette. Marmann is charged with child endangerment, a class D felony.
