HealthFirst Medical Park and The Oelwein Community Healthcare Foundation issued the following news release on Tuesday:

“It is with great sadness and regret that HealthFirst Medical Park and Oelwein Community Healthcare Foundation announce patients will no longer be seen at our clinic after Friday, June 14, 2019. Negotiations are close to being finalized for a new entity to provide many of the same services. HealthFirst Medical Park believes this will occur as early as late summer or early fall. Phones will continue to be answered and patients’ medical records can be accessed and transferred, if needed, during this transition. More announcements will be forthcoming when more details become available. The new clinic is anticipated to move forward with many of the current staff who have been providing medical care for our patients.

“HealthFirst Medical Park and the Oelwein Community Healthcare Foundation wish to thank all the patients who have chosen to use HealthFirst to provide their medical care. Sincere thanks to all staff, contributors and others who are part of this community-wide endeavor.

The patients at HealthFirst Medical Park will soon be receiving a letter regarding their options for continued medical care and the transferring of medical records. For anyone who has an appointment scheduled after June 14th you will be contacted. If you have not been contacted by June 12th, please contact HealthFirst at 319-283-9258.

“A big thank you goes out to the community for allowing HealthFirst Medical Park to provide for your health care needs. Our staff look forward to serving you in the near future.”
