Old School Produce Partners re-erect hoop house

The Old School Produce Partners (OSPP) hoop house was re-erected Saturday morning in a new location on the Benton County Service Center grounds thanks to a group of volunteers hailing from throughout the county. Volunteers included a group from Urbana’s St. Mary’s Catholic Church—Urbana Mayor Mitch McDonough and City Councilmen Josh Holthaus and Don Westendorf. St. Mary’s food pantry is a past recipient of produce grown at the gardens. The hoop house was moved to make way for the new Benton County Transportation building for which construction is scheduled to begin this week.
