Retrieving Freedom: Waverly site expands area services, needs fund support

Retrieving Freedom, Inc. (RFI) is a Waverly and Senatobia, Miss., based non-profit organization (501(c)3) dedicated to the training of assistance dogs for use with disabled veterans and autistic children.

RFI is in the process of raising funds to establish its first training center in Waverly.

“We are filling a need that is so great that the demand for assistance dogs will always exceed the industry’s ability to supply properly trained animals. Fundraising serves two objectives, it raises awareness and it supplies the financial fuel to keep us going,” said co-founders Scott Dewey and Charles Dwyer.
