The Marine Corps League and Auxiliary

will host a meal on June 13 at the Waverly Area Veteran’s Post at 1800 Fourth St. NW, Waverly. The menu will be chicken noodle casserole, green beans, Jell-O salad and dessert. Serving begins at 5:30 p.m.

Community BBQ planned

Goodwill Industries, The Larrabee Center, Community Based Services, Northstar and Pathways Behavioral Services are hosting a Joint Community BBQ on Friday June 14 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kohlmann Park in Waverly. There will be live music from David Woods Country, sponsored by Panther Lanes of Tripoli and various lawn games to enjoy. We are looking to bring the community together and help enrich the lives of those living with disabilities, help them feel a part of their community, and enjoy some good food, music and fun.

Farm tractor pull at Butler Co. Fair

A Farmer Tractor Pull is a new free grandstand event on Wednesday, June 19 at this year’s Butler County Fair. The pull will start at 11 a.m. and will feature six different weight classes. There will be trophies awarded for first place in each category and there is a $10 per hook per class for each tractor to cover the cost of the sled. Bring in your tractor to see if you can out pull your neighbor or just come out enjoy the show. ‘A Dog’s Way Home’ playing

at Plainfield library

Movie Day at the Plainfield Public Library will be, June, 21.

“A Dog’s Way Home” will be shown at 2 and 7 p.m. It is free to the public along with free popcorn.
