Patients and families choose hospitals and doctors for many reasons. It’s no surprise that quality of care tops the list.
What is surprising is when top-quality care is combined with convenience and comfort at the highest levels — especially in a small community. These attributes are especially important to Denise Timmerman of Waverly, who has a below-the-knee amputation.
Denise appreciates Waverly Health Center’s close parking and the ease to come over her lunch hour. Denise lives and works in Waverly, so if she can get great care here, she stays here.
Recently, Denise visited Ron Ragsdale, PT, DPT for wound care and then later for treatment of hip pain with dry needling.
“I developed a painful ulcer on my leg and Ron took care of me. He saw me weekly to remove the dead skin, put on a medication and dressed the wound. It healed fully,” said Denise.
“I’ve also tried dry needling with Ron, and it really helped the pain I was having in my hip. It only took a few treatments and I haven’t had the pain since. The needles weren’t bad at all and Ron was really good at telling me exactly what he was doing and how it might feel. I’ve had such great experiences with physical therapy at Waverly Health Center. The whole department is so kind and helpful,” finished Denise.
