Jordyn Frost loves her horses like she loves her parents, Al and Phylis. The soon-to-be N-P ninth-grader showed her three horses-- Chip, an 8-year-old Appaloosa, 8-year-old; Bayberry, a 7-year-old miniature horse, and her newest friend, an American Paint Horse called Foxy, 2, at the 2020 Bremer County 4-H Show & Go Horse show. The coronavirus canceled the Bremer County Fair, now in its 145th year, but the 4-H organizers opted to hold a Show & Go programming, which allows small family groups to attend the shows but the events are closed to the general public.

Jordyn got Bayberry when she was in fourth grade, Chip joined the family a couple of years later, and Foxy arrived as a weanling two years ago.

Jordyn's love for animals came from her mom, Phyllis, a veterinarian, and was further reinforced by her sister, Jami, who is also a veterinarian. Mom and daughter work together at the Avenue of the Saints Animal Hospital.
